Each set of cards has 5 different hand illustrated animals that are found in tropical Far North Queensland.

Feathertailed glider: a small, omnivorous, gliding possum. Feather-tailed gliders are the smallest of the gliders are found in tropical Far North Queensland. These gliders their name from their love of sugary foods such as sap and nectar and their ability to glide through the air.

Joey: The model for this little lady was rescued by the artists brother, when the joey's mother was hit by a car. Her name is April. She will grow into an Eastern grey Kangaroo.

Crimson Finch: Neochmia phaeton inhabit the nearby cane fields nearby to artist Suzanne Hadley's home. Looking for all the world like a Christmas decoration themselves, the Crimson finch, found in tropical North Queensland, has adapted to encroaching civilisation often inhabiting cultivated areas.

Pelican: Australians Pelecanus conspicillatus are commonly found on rivers, lakes, beaches and jetties throughout Australia.

Sunbird: Cynniris Juglaris the only sunbird species in Australia. The male seeks out the nesting site, a piece of string its favourite choice, before bringing the female to inspect. And she is picky. Nests are built from spider webs and this alone endears them to householders who are fortunate enough to be chosen as an appropriate nesting site.
